Parker County Youth Livestock Show The 2019 Parker County Youth Livestock Show kicks off June 7 and runs through June 15, 2019, at the Parker County Sheriffs Posse grounds at 2251 Mineral Wells Hwy, Weatherford, Texas. Every year over 500 FFA & 4H members from across Parker County competes against their peers in divisions such as cattle, crops,  goats, poultry, rabbits, sheep, swine and ag mechanics, in hopes of making the youth auction on Saturday, June 15th.

Walden FRS supports the Parker County 4H/FFA youth and the Parker County Youth Livestock Auction by donating to the PCLIA Buyer’s Pool to ensure that every student’s project is purchased and to maximize the benefit to our Parker County 4H/FFA members. We help all 4H/FFA members participating in local county and major stock shows by offering a 10% discount on show feed and donating to local 4H/FFA chapters of every student that registers and buys with us.

The 2019 Parker County Youth Livestock Auction is the end result of the 4-H and FFA Youth Member’s year-long projects. It is an educational experience, as well as a business venture. The members get the opportunity to have a “hands-on” experience while learning all about the agriculture industry. They discover what agriculture production is all about. Having community support at the auction makes it possible for young people to receive recognition and the motivation to earn and save college funds or to buy more animals and possibly start their own herd. Many youths go through this program and come out as great leaders, educators, and responsible adults.
